Grips and Fixtures

We offer a wide range of grips suited to every material and test method, ensuring secure clamping and repeatable results.
Available versions:

• Screw-action, ideal for rigid samples or small specimens;
• Self-tightening, suitable for quick tests and specimens of various shapes;
• Pneumatic, for intensive applications with automatic clamping;
• Mechanical, with geometries tailored to the material.

Grips can be mounted on fixed or moving crossheads and are compatible with load cells from 10 to 50,000 N. All models can be customized to the specimen, the reference standard, and the dynamometer configuration.

Acquati supplies dedicated fixtures to test particular samples and materials in accordance with precise technical standards. Applications include:

• Tests on bottles, blisters, vials and containers;
• Tests on plastic films, geotextiles, foams and leather;
• Tensile tests on gloves, elastics, threads and seams;
• Bending, perforation, unscrewing, adhesion, tear and torsion tests.

Each fixture is designed to suit the specimen type, the test mode, and the relevant standards (ASTM, ISO, UNI, AFERA, FINAT, CBR, etc.).

All grips and fixtures integrate perfectly with Acquati dynamometers and universal testing machines. Interfacing is ensured by a modular mechanics and standard or custom adapters, with installation on moving or fixed crossheads. The modular approach makes it possible to upgrade accessories over time, replace components at any moment, and adapt your instrument’s functionality to new methods—adding new test types without replacing the entire machine.
