Testing large industrial packaging
The Acquati Compression Tester is designed to perform compression, stacking and constant-deformation tests on bulky packages such as drums, jerrycans, corrugated boxes, rigid-plastic containers, pallets and pipes. Its robust, modular structure enables accurate tests even on non-standard specimens and off-centre loads. It complies with the main international standards: AFNOR, ASTM, DIN, ISO, TAPPI, UNI, EN.
Advanced digital control and high configurability
Featuring a Touch Screen panel, membrane keyboard and dual graphic display, the system lets you set up and save custom test cycles with parameters such as speed (from 0.01 to 500 mm/min), pre-load, programmed compression, threshold deformation, automatic stops and fast return. Includes:
- Storage and display of the running program
- Load cell control with automatic full-scale recognition
- Optoelectronic stops for sensor protection
- RS232 or Ethernet interface for PC connection
- Optional software for graph management, reporting and test archiving
Robust, modular mechanical structure
The machine consists of a ribbed steel base, cast tables with grooves for specimen centring, four precision-ground columns and recirculating-ball screws for smooth crosshead travel. The self-levelling system adapts to specimens with uneven surfaces. Distance between plates adjustable from 300 mm to 1200 mm (up to 2000 mm on request). Load cells cover ranges from 10 to 200 kN.
