Abrasion testing on flexible and rigid materials
The Cesconi abrasion tester is designed to perform technological abrasion tests on a wide range of materials: leather and synthetic leather, carpets, rubber, polyurethane, ABS, PVC, ceramics and non-wovens. Built in accordance with UNITEX 7858, UNI 4818, UNI 2637 and approved by UNIPLAST, it is recommended by many Italian and international companies as a reliable instrument for verifying surface wear resistance.
Flexibility in abrasive media and pressure adjustment
The device allows the use of different abrasive tools: fabrics of the same type as the specimen or alternatives, cloth and abrasive paper, bristle or nylon brushes, and variable-profile simulators. Test pressure and number of cycles can be adjusted according to the material under test, thanks to a set of interchangeable counterweights from 250 g to 5 kg and a 5-digit electronic counter for cycle pre-selection.
Solid structure and discontinuous abrasive motion
The operating principle is based on the difference in rotational speed between the satellite and the specimen holder plate, ensuring a continuous yet non-uniform abrasive action over the entire specimen surface, preventing localized wear. The machine features a complete control panel with start/stop buttons, reset, cycle counter and emergency stop. Power supply: three-phase 380 V – 50 Hz. Dimensions: 550 × 410 × 595 mm. Weight: 65 kg.
